Backstory

This is an AU portrayal

She was born the first granddaughter of Pop Tate. The beloved grad daugther that could do no wrong. she would work every summer with her grandfather and grew to love being in the diner. And how he connected with every single person that came through the door. At 12 years old the worst thing happened to her, she lost her dad. It was what changed her for the worst in her option. Something that she never thought she would have to go through. Her mom was broken, she has watched her crumble apart which was something she didn’t expect to happen.

The memories of Riverdale and their family made it too hard for her mother to continue on and be there. Which was what resulted in them leaving, getting away for a 'fresh start' something that Tabitha never had the chance to experience. At 13 they packed up and left, Left everything that she was behind. Tabitha had to change to be someone who didn’t have family around, the family that she loved more than anything. Her grand father who always faught to make sure she had the best life was suddenly states away from her. Once they left town and they settled her mom shut down, not letting Tabitha in to anything she was feeling. The young girl was suddenly without her mother as well, even though she was right in her front of her.

It was a life of fighting for attention. trying to get the mom she knew to come back and be with her. But she was checked out, drinking and bringing random men in and out of both of their lives. Till her step dad came into the picture and things changed yet again. Making it even worse, he wasn't her father and there was a lot of hostility there when he came in and started acting like he was.

When she graduated she went to university in Chicago for business. knowing that her plan was to one day help with pops. She lost herself in college life- drinking and partying away the feelings and hostility that she felt towards her mother and step father. Suddenly she understood how her mother fell into the pattern of drinking. for the time she was drunk she didn’t have any pain- she was free of her burdens. Quickly it caught up to her, she was close to dropping out of college when she realized her dreams. The dreams of making sure her grandfather had someone to not only run his business but turn it into something better. When she graduated she found a job and worked her way up, becoming head of Marketing for a big real estate company in Chicago while she waited for her grand father to retire.

When her grandfather asked her to return to Riverdale to take over the business she knew it was what she wanted all these years but it wasn’t the same town she remembered. When she left it was a peaceful town and even though she had heard the stories from her grandfather over the years about how things weren’t the same. She didn't believe it was as bad as he was letting on but coming back she now knew that he was right. This wasn't a town that was safe but to her it was her home the place that she had been fighting to come back too all these years. Even though her relationship with her mother was still in shambles she tried to make a new life— a new life that was hers. In the only place she knew as home. Riverdale

TIME TRAVELLING AU
Tabitha didn't realize what she was doing the day after her Father died. Sitting on the bed in her old childhood home cluting the one thing that he had passed down to her she begged for someone to bring him back. For a world where he was alive, when she woke up she was somewhere unfamiliar. A place that she hadn't been before. As she exited the room she came face to face with her father, before he was that. He was much younger and they spent the afternoon sitting and just getting to know each other. She didn't tell anyone what she could do, she wanted to keep it a secret because if the wrong person knew it could be used against her. Over the years she had discovered that during her travels she could experience things that happened in the past, she could learn from what happened. But she couldn't change it.
